Ramada Maingate West is our "go to" hotel when visiting the area. It has easy access and good restaurants nearby. It is a fair price except for the added resort fee.
"Close to Disney!"

After reading the reviews, we were definitely not expecting good accommodations. We were pleasantly surprised with our stay! Reservation and front desk staff were helpful and friendly. The room was spacious and the bed was clean. Contrary to some of the reviews we did not see any bugs and though the pool was heavily chlorinated we did see someone testing the pool 2 of the 4 days we were there. Because it is open air to the pool, the hallways were a bit humid, but the ac in the room kept it very cool. We enjoyed our stay and loved how close the hotel was to Disney! We will definitely consider staying here again!

The rooms and staff are fine. The location is very good to the things that we do when in the area. Shopping and resturants are nearby also. We stay here at least 2 times a year.
"Good Basic Hotel. Nothing fancy."

I got a deal through Westgate Resorts: 4 nights for 179. I thought my stay was worth that but not more. The room seemed clean and the beds were large and comfortable. The shower was nice. The employees seemed very ingratiating, except over the phone. I called with questions twice before flying in. The first time, I was put on hold for 20 minutes, and the 2nd time for 30 minutes. When I mentioned this, the woman tried to make it seem like I was being weird for complaining. There is a nice pool and jacuzzi, but the pool was too cold for me. One of the managers said it was kept at 85 degrees, so maybe it's just a personal preference with me. The hotel is just a mile from Disney but about a half-hour shuttle ride to Sea World and Wet N' Wild, where I went. I might choose a hotel in Orlando next time, rather than Kissimmee. The restaurant was pretty bad. It's supposed to be a buffet, but the options were very limited and the quality so-so. Better to check out Ponderosa or Sizzler across the street. Overall, the hotel has a kind of worn-down, gloomy atmosphere. The pool area seemed kind of dark and depressing. But if all you're doing is sleeping there, I would say it's a pretty good value.
